CBND Steam-Ready Industrial Watertube Boiler
LINCOLN, Neb. (December 13, 2011) – Cleaver-Brooks, sole manufacturer
of custom, integrated boiler/burner/exhaust solutions in the industry, sold several
CBND systems this year, after
debuting the steam-ready, industrial watertube boiler line at Power-Gen 2010.
The primary benefit of this system is that the design-to-installation time is
substantially shortened.
“With the CBND,
customers can up-front engineer a project long before they could in the past,”
said Robert St-Denis, president of Engineered Boiler Systems for Cleaver-Brooks. “Several different guide specifications have
been written, along with the available options so a system can be tailored for
a specific application. With drawing
submittals completed so quickly, the manufacturing process can get under way
immediately.”
In generating the
design specifications for its CBND steam-ready series, engineers strived to
cover a broad range of operating conditions to match the requirements for a
variety of industry segments and applications.
The options that are available for the CBND enable customers to select
the package that fits the exact needs of a facility.
The saturated
boiler capacities range from 10,000 to 225,000 lb/hr with design pressures up
to 375 psig. Currently, operating
pressure is available from 100 psig to 325 psig.
The system is
engineered to run using natural gas or #2 fuel oil or a combination of the
two. Turndown is 10:1 with natural gas
and 8:1 with #2 fuel oil. Using natural
gas, the system’s NOx emissions are 30 ppm or uncontrolled, and with a factory
consult, NOx emissions can be reduced even further.
Cleaver-Brooks is
the only boiler solutions provider in the world that integrates and optimizes
the boiler/burner/exhaust system to maximize energy efficiency and reliability
while minimizing emissions. Through
computational fluid dynamics (CFD) calculations, Cleaver-Brooks products are
engineered to match perfectly and operate at peak performance.
